Kitemark testing – fall-arrest harness, ZT Safety Systems
ZT Safety Systems have designed a completely new kind of industrial fall-arrest harness which aims to dramatically reduce the risk of injury to the wearer during a fall, when compared with traditional harnesses.
They commissioned the human movement laboratory, working in conjunction with the School of Engineering, to conduct independent research to evaluate the design of the new product, in order to achieve CE Marking prior to its launch. In particular we were involved in measuring the deceleration associated with this product in preliminary drop tests.
"In working with the university, we have really pushed the boundaries of testing this kind of safety equipment" – Steve Morris, managing director, ZT Safety Systems
