Profile

Dr Sofaer-Bennett is a Reader in the Clinical Research Centre. She undertook PhD studies at the University of Edinburgh and post-doctoral work at The Hebrew University in Jerusalem where she was a Lady Davis Fellow. She has taught and researched extensively in the UK, Central and Eastern Europe, The Middle East and The USA.

Teaching

Dr Sofaer-Bennett has specialised in experiential teaching and learning. She has previously designed and taught programmes at undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Specialised topics have included pain management by health professionals, ethical issues in health, trans-cultural issues in health and cultural issues with students undertaking placements abroad.
