Profile
Vinette Cross is a Senior Research Fellow in the Clinical Research Centre for the Health Professions at the University of Brighton, and an advisor in the South East Research and Development Support Unit. She is also Senior Research Fellow in Ethnicity and Health in the Centre for Health and Social Care Improvement, University of Wolverhampton. A physiotherapist by profession, she gained a masters degree in medical education at Dundee University, and subsequently, carried out doctoral research into undergraduate practice-based education and assessment. Vinette has had an extensive career in pre and post-registration professional education and research across a range of health care disciplines. Research interests include:
- the experience of work-place learning for practitioners at all levels;
- quality of health care through critical reflection and continuing professional development;
- cultural competence in responding to individuals' health care needs and expectations.
