Pre-registration courses

Our pre-registration courses offer students opportunities for professional and multiprofessional learning in a modern and exciting environment.

Once qualified in their chosen allied health profession students are equipped with a range of specific and transferable skills that will enable them to work within a wide range of healthcare and other settings. The school prides itself on the high level of skills of its graduates.

Placements

Practice placements form an integral part of the learning experience. Students have experience in NHS, private and social care settings across the South East of England. In addition the Leaf Hospital Clinic (part of the School of Health Professions) provides extensive clinical experience for podiatry and other students. Staff provide excellent support for students during placements and are experts in ensuring that the educators working alongside students during placements are well prepared for their role.

Our courses are taught in well-equipped, specialist accommodation including a human movement laboratory, clinical facilities at the Leaf Hospital, and a Daily Living Suite. The Eastbourne campus is a vibrant, diverse learning and working environment, close to the sea and the South Downs. Students benefit from the use of the recently refurbished Queenwood library and the Media Centre, whilst Hillbrow Sports' Centre and the Halls of Residence are within a short walking distance.
