Dr Anne Mandy, Reader at the Clinical Research Centre for Health Professions, University of Brighton was featured in the NIHR "Academic – NHS – Industry Collaboration in Experimental Medicine" innovative partnering booklet for her collaboration with Neater Solutions in her design of a wheelchair with a steering mechanism for hemiplegic patients.
The project is an example of good practice involving the university, NHS clinicians, patients and engineers from Neater Solutions. The work was supported by a grant from the NIHR Health Technology Devices Programme.
