The Clinical Research Centre and School of Health Professions once again hosted a very successful annual doctoral student conference on 12 and 13 July 2011. Colleagues and doctoral students from the School of Nursing and Midwifery, School of Applied Social Science, and School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences were involved in this event.
There were approximately 80 presentations from PhD and professional doctorate students from across the faculty to a range of external guests and delegates. Some alumni gave presentations which highlighted how their doctoral education had changed their working lives, and staff presented their current research projects.
There were lively debates and discussions as well as an opportunity for networking across disciplines and professions. Feedback from delegates was excellent and by all accounts the event was considered the best to date.
