Our research strategy

The School of Health Professions' research strategy is developed by a School Research Strategy committee which meets approximately three times each year. Each teaching division has a research representative whose responsibility is to liaise with the academic teaching staff and with the Clinical Research Centre in identifying the research support needs of each of the divisions. The divisional research representatives meet approximately every two months.

The Director of the Clinical Research Centre chairs the School Research Strategy committee and the divisional representative meetings. She also meets with all staff within the Clinical Research Centre regularly for updates on research projects, publications and grants and on various issues that arise with regard to the support needs of academic staff within the school.

Members of the Clinical Research Centre meet on a regular basis with individual academic members of staff to discuss draft publications, funding applications ethics, ethics, governance and other issues relating to their research developments.
