Entertainment and leisure
As well as its excellent location, between the sea and the green hills of the South Downs National Park, the city has activities and attractions for all ages. It hosts dozens of festivals and public events throughout the year, boasts hundreds of cafés, bars and restaurants, and has a vibrant music, theatre and comedy scene. At its heart, the quirky Royal Pavilion – a whimsy of King George IV – defines the city and its rather eccentric spirit.
