Volunteer opportunities
- Student Voluntary Badminton Sport/Community Officer (2 positions available)

This is the most exciting time there has ever been to volunteer in the Olympic sport of badminton. The University of Brighton is working in partnership with BADMINTON England to offer a student a 10 month voluntary Officer position based at the University. The Officer will be responsible for increasing badminton participation across campus by working closely with the University Sport Development staff, BADMINTON England staff and a number of other partners in sport.
The Officer position will provide the right candidate with essential experience within the sport development industry. We are looking for a talented individual with drive, passion, determination and a genuine desire to make a true difference to our sport. The post holder will be expected to have good knowledge of sports development, good communication, influencing, leadership and problem solving skills, together with the ability to form strong partnerships to enable project delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a delivery budget and reasonable expenses will be covered. The candidate will be expected to commit 6 to 10 hours per week to the role. An appointment will be made subject to satisfactory CRB clearance and references. A budget has been identified for the successful candidate’s expenses.
