Not content with competing at a national level in one sport, Sports Scholar David Coleman who usually competes in athletics and throws the discus, has turned his hand to a new sport and is making remarkable progress. David has recently taken up the slightly terrifying sport of bobsleigh, where a team of four hurl themselves down an ice tunnel, packed tightly inside the ‘bob’. Utilising the strength and fitness he has built up from his athletics training, David attended a GB camp in Latvia and was successfully selected as one of the squad to compete in the forthcoming Europa Cup. David joins a select few who have achieved a GB vests in both a summer and winter sport.
