World Champion and Judo comes to UoB

Sport Brighton is pleased to announce that we now have a permanently matted Dojo in the new sports centre at the Falmer site. The mats in the new studio at Falmer were a result of support from British Judo.

Working in conjunction with British Judo and Brighton Judo Club, we provide weekly coached sessions for Judo participants. The club members range in ability from complete novice to experienced Dan Grade Judo Players. We also have a fantastic offer for students who would like to take up the sport. Beginners are offered a series of vouchers which gives access to a number of free and discounted lessons, a free Judo license and discounted kit.

Judo is an ideal sport for all ages, males, females and attracts a large number of disability groups. The Judo club is very pleased to have Ben Quilter attending a session on the 28th October. Ben has recently become Britain’s first visually impaired Judo World Champion in 12 years. Ben is hoping to be a medal contender in the 2012 Paralympic Games. Come along to the session on 28th, 7pm start to be coached by a World Champion!

The club trains every Thursday night in the new Sports Centre at the Falmer site, 7pm – 8:30pm.
