
The Sports Awards started in 1997 and celebrates the sporting successes at the University of Brighton. This year’s dinner is taking place on Friday 17th May at the Winter Garden in Eastbourne. The evening includes:
- Three course dinner
- Wine for toasts
- Award presentation
- After dinner party at the Atlantis nightclub
- Student travel between Brighton and Eastbourne
Tickets for students
Students can purchase tickets for the event from the 15th April until the 12th May. As this is a formal sit down dinner, ticket sales are unable to be extend beyond this date. Please buy your ticket in advance of this date to avoid disappointment. When you buy your ticket you will be asked if you have any dietary requirements and you will also be asked what team/ club you would like to be seated with. Tickets cost £32 each. Please note that this is a subsidised event. The actual cost per head is higher, we have tried to keep the prices as low as possible. A valid student card is required at the point of purchase. Due to seating being allocated prior to the event you will be unable to sell on your ticket. If you can no longer attend please email us.
Nominations for students
Nominations for the awards are now open. The nomination deadline is 11.59pm on Monday 22nd April. Nominations are considered based on the information provided on the form, not the number of nominations! The awards are decided by an awards panel which consists of Sport Brighton staff and Sports Federation student representatives.
