Sport Brighton are running a lifeguarding pool qualification. For more information see below:
When: 17th - 22nd December 2011
What time: 9-5pm
How much: UoB students/staff £125 (Non UoB £170)
Where: Eastbourne Sports Centre, Denton Road.
A nationally recognised qualification for those wishing to work or volunteer in the leisure industry as a swimming pool Lifeguard. Includes First Aid, rescue techniques and resuscitation. Applicants must be 16 years old or over and able to swim a minimum of 100 metres on their front and back continuously, swim 50 metres in 60 seconds, dive to a maximum depth of 2 metres, able to swim freestyle, breaststroke and have some knowledge of side stroke.
