The events industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. From extreme sports to the opera, charity fundraising to sales promotions, political conferences to protest rallies, major international events to locally held festivals, events play a major role in the calendar for most organisations and destinations.
Our events courses
We offer events courses at honours degree and postgraduate level. We focus on providing students with the skills to manage, market and run their own successful events or work within an events company. There is an increasing demand from employers for graduates with an understanding of the unique dynamics of the industry.

Professional and industry links
Our courses are closely linked to industry with members of academic staff having gained industrial experience in their fields before moving in to education, and there is emphasis on students being able to apply academic theory in practical situations.
Placements
Students have the opportunity to get hands-on experience by taking a paid work placement year between years two and three within the events industry. The placement will give you the opportunity to use practical skills, gain hands-on experience and make industry contacts.
