Our hospitality courses
The school provides courses at Foundation degree, honours degree and masters level. Our BA(Hons) in International Hospitality Management is one of the longest established courses of its kind and enjoys an international reputation for teaching excellence, student achievement and graduate success. The course attracts students from all over the world.
Postgraduate courses are also available.

Practical focus
Hospitality is a very hands-on industry. In order to prepare you for this the first year includes practical modules in our new Culinary Arts Studio.
You will learn about every aspect of running a restaurant. The Culinary Arts Studio offers lunches to the public and to staff of the School on Thursdays and Fridays. For these days you will learn everything from preparing the menus and cooking the meals, to learning how to deal with customers and with the financial aspects of running a service operation.

We have forged strong links with industry both through our placement programme and our research and consultancy. Industry representatives also advise on the content and development of our courses and contribute to teaching as guest lecturers.

Placements
Students on the BA(Hons) International Hospitality Management programme can take an optional paid placement between year two and the final year. The completion of a placement-based final year project replaces the dissertation. The placement will give you the opportunity to use practical skills, gain hands-on experience and make industry contacts.
