Burundi – Opportunity Study for Tourism Development in Burundi aimed at the assessments of current and future tourism, leisure and hospitality potential product and the required institutional framework for the realization of a priority list for action to enable the development of public-private collaboration and the identification and implementation of a sustainable tourism strategy. This project was concluded with a stakeholder workshop.

Gambia (yearly since) – University of Brighton/Centre for Responsible Tourism – West Africa: Destination Niche Tourism: trends and Development, 1 week intensive capacity building course on niche tourism product development, which involves 20 undergraduate students from the University of Brighton and 10 sponsored professionals from various Gambian private and public tourism businesses and organizations. This is a yearly event aimed at addressing the lack of skills in business planning and tourism product development, the identification and development of sustainable tourism practices and the diversification of the Gambian mass tourism product.

University of Brighton Teaching and Learning Fellowship Award: "Capacity building, cross-cultural collaboration and sustainable (tourism) development in the Gambia." Project aimed at an inventory of the existing and required training needs in the locality and the assessment of tourism product opportunities in collaboration with professionals and members of the Association of Small Scale Enterprises in Tourism (ASSET) of The Gambia.

Namibia – NACOBTA: Community Based Tourism Product Development and Capacity Building in the Kunene region aimed at a sustainable integration of Ovahimba communities in the tourism sector.
