Pregnancy and parenthood
If you become pregnant or a parent during your studies at the university, we will do what we can to support you and to minimise any negative impact this could have on your studies.
We have produced a guidance document which covers many common areas of concern and signposts to relevant services for students who are expecting a child, or who have recently given birth. The booklet also explains how to arrange adjustments in assessment and examinations if students feel that their performance will be adversely affected by their condition.
You can download A guide to support for students who are pregnant or who have young children (280k pdf).
Further support and information is available from the Student Advice Service or from the Equality and Diversity Adviser (Student Experience) by emailing equality@brighton.ac.uk.
