Bursaries and financial support
Financing your studies and your living costs may seem daunting. There are however a number of different sources of funding, from the government and the university. If you need any help budgeting or meeting your costs, our Student Advice Service are always on hand to answer your queries.
Government funding
If you are a UK or EU undergraduate student you will be eligible for government loans and may be eligible for a grant to help with your living costs. What you are able to apply for depends on the year you start studying. To find out the details go to:

Bursaries
Students who may need some extra financial support may be eligible for a bursaries to help with living costs or a reduce tuition fees.
The University of Brighton bursaries are only available to undergraduate students, but there are postgraduate bursaries available if you are studying for a social work or PGCE qualification.

Grants and support funds
There are a range of funds and grants you can apply for if you need some extra help to meet your costs. These include:

Emergency loan
You can apply for a Bridging Loan in case of a financial emergency. Any student can apply. You will need to repay the money you are loaned.
