international research scholarships
We offer four international research scholarships worth a 50% reduction on tuition fees for a research programme for up to a maximum of three years. These are available to outstanding international research students in all areas of study.
Criteria
The criteria for awarding University of Brighton international research scholarships are as follows:
- academic merit (including English language ability)
- full fee-paying international student status
- acceptance onto a research programme at the University of Brighton
Eligibility
In order to be eligible to apply for a scholarship you must be a new full-time international research student, and must have applied to join a research programme at the University of Brighton, and been offered a place for 2012 entry.
Please note any accompanying documentation will not be returned and the university's Scholarship Award Committee's decision is final.
How to apply
For the 2012 academic year, please email internationalscholarships@brighton.ac.uk with your applicant number in the subject line and we will send you a scholarship application pack.
Deadline for application
Applications for research scholarships are considered at our Scholarship Award Committee meetings at three points during the academic year: the end of June, the end of October and the end of February.
Return your application to the International Office so that it can be considered at the scholarship committee meeting prior to your intended start date.
Decisions about scholarship awards will sent to you approximately two weeks after those dates.
