Discounts for Brighton graduates
If you are a former student of the university, you are automatically a member of the Brighton Graduate Associate (BGA) and may be eligible for a 10 per cent discount against tuition fees on a future course, providing that:
- you are paying all of the course fees yourself and are not funded by, for example, a scholarship or your employer, and
- you are paying non-regulated fees, i.e. fees that are not limited by legislation (for 2011-12 the regulated fee for the university's full-time undergraduate students is £3,375).
Other conditions are also applicable, see below for further details.
How to apply
- To apply for the discount download the application form (88k pdf) and return by post.
- This must be returned to the university before 1 November 2011, or within 4 weeks of your formal start date if your course starts after 1 November.
- Late applications will not be considered.
Note
- The university reserves the right to reinstate full fees if the information declared by students is later found to be incorrect or fraudulent.
- As a student's eligibility status may change from one academic year to the next, it is necessary to apply for the discount at the beginning of each academic year of study, even if the discount has been received in previous years.
- As the assessment of the student's eligibilty status is undertaken for each academic year, it is not possible for a student to apply for a retrospective discount for academic years that have passed.
- Students should not rely on receiving the same level of discount for 2012/13 and beyond.
- You can update your BGA details online.
Other discounts
There are also discounts for paying your fees in full, see paying your fees.
