Who can apply
For a study placement, you must be in at least the second year of higher education studies. Students in their first year of study are eligible for work placements.
The minimum period allowed for a placement is three months, or one academic term, up to a maximum of 12 months. However, for students on short term higher vocational education courses, the minimum duration is two weeks.
All study and work placements must be full-time. Part-time students are eligible to participate in Erasmus providing they study full-time during their mobility period or work full-time if on a work placement.
If you have already received an Erasmus grant for study, you cannot pursue a second Erasmus study placement. If you have already received a grant for a work placement under Erasmus or Leonardo, you cannot pursue an Erasmus work placement.
