I had heard a lot of good things about the university from friends and colleagues. I looked at other courses but Brighton came out on top. I was looking for a course that will enable me to move on in my career - this meets that expectation very well. It is of a very high standard. The tutors are very knowledgeable and we also have excellent guest lecturers who are working in clinical settings.
I have been working in hospitals for 23 years, currently as a clinical care manager, and hope this course will help my transition into community work - preventative medicine or health promotion.
I live in Eastbourne which is very beautiful. It suits me well. Studying while working full-time is hard but the staff are very helpful and down to earth. I look forward to each module and enjoy every single second that I spend at the university. In fact, I am encouraging my friends and colleagues to come here too!
