Interactive Technologies MPhil/PhD
I am Brazilian and came to the UK to be a Digital Television Management and Production MSc student at the University of Brighton.
I was so pleased with the school infrastructure, equipment, facilities such as the usability evaluation studio and the library; the technical support and especially with my tutors that I decided to continue my studies here. In addition to providing the technology I need and having such a great supervisory team guiding and supporting my development, the university also offers research methodology training and research seminars that are great opportunities to talk about my research and hear what other researchers are producing.
Like some MPhil/PhD students I also teach and work as a researcher. I currently take part in the Interactive Everywhere project that aims to facilitate the development of creative projects for context-aware technology.
I believe that being constantly involved with activities within the university will greatly influence the quality of my thesis and is essential to both my academic and professional life once I finish the PhD.
