I only wanted to come to Brighton. I looked around other universities but decided that Brighton was the one for me. It is the best for teaching, facilities and location. My PE teacher at school graduated from here and sang its praises. I love my course. I would recommend it to anyone. All the staff are so supportive - tutors start off as lecturers but end up being friends.
We get involved in all sorts of additional activities so that we leave university with more than a teaching degree - so far I have done lifeguard training, an orienteering coaching qualification, a ski course organiser award (in Italy!), been a scout leader and I spent four months in America last summer teaching rock-climbing and other outdoor activities.
I am an Active Student volunteer and, once a week, teach swimming and other outdoor and adventure activities to a class of primary-school children at the university's Eastbourne sports centre. I am having an awesome time. Teaching is all about experience. I plan to get as much experience here as I can and go into the world ready to face new challenges.
