At the open day I really liked the contrast between the quiet Falmer countryside and the excitement of the city. Brighton seemed to have a good mixture of cultures and a cosmopolitan atmosphere, and coming from Kenya, that appealed to me.
I have found seminars especially useful. They are assessed which really motivates you to take part. Staff support is really good, they are very approachable and helpful. I have never felt like I was away from home.
I was asked to do an open day presentation about student life in Brighton. The first one was really nerve-racking - but after five in one day I relaxed! It was a good experience - now I don't have any problem standing up and talking in front of my class.
Brighton night life is brilliant. Pubs and clubs do lots of student promotions. There is lots to see - I think I will need another year to see it all after I graduate!
