Stephen Sibbald
Countryside Management FdSc
Plumpton College
I undertook the foundation degree in Countryside Management from 2002-2004.
I found the work experience element of the course invaluable. It gave me good contacts within the conservation sector. The course also provided a good balance between fieldwork and academic research and writing.
On finishing the foundation degree, I continued with an extra year at the University of Brighton where I gained a Bsc in Biological Science. My final year dissertation was on small mammal survey techniques and since graduating I have been employed on the surveys team at The Mammal Society.
