Take the Bike Train in Brighton!
Safety in numbers is the idea - many cyclists are afraid along the Lewes Road, the bike train runs every weekday morning and evening, check the schedule on www.biketrain.org.

Free bicycle maintenance on campus
During Green Week in March 2011, the university sponsored free Dr Bike sessions at all campuses. This was a great success and Dr Bike was busy! Visit the 'Getting involved' page if you would like to make this happen again.

Secure bicycle storage
There are secure bicycle storage cages at many of our campuses. Ask your local premises officers to find out - using them is free, with only a £5 deposit for a key.

Cooking Oil to the Big Lemon
All waste cooking oil produced by Residential and Catering Services and the Students Union is recycled for use in the Big Lemon bus. The oil, which would otherwise end up in landfill after cooking your chips is used as biodiesel and helps transport our students and staff to and from the various Brighton campuses.

Get On Your Bike!
In halls or on campus? We want to help you get on your bike! As part of the university's 10:10 campaign, we now have free bicycle pumps available at all university campuses. The Students Union also funded full bicycle maintenance and repair kits for all halls of residence.

Cycle access to Falmer campus
The Sustainability Action Network has continuously helped to improve the situation for cyclists getting to the Falmer campus. There is a new route under construction through the Aldridge Academy which enables cyclists step-free access to reach the campus.
