Student volunteering

The student lifestyle provides a flexible schedule that facilitates participation in volunteering activities. This is also a great way for you to gain work experience and enhance your study experience.

There are a wide range of community, voluntary, public sector and not-for-profit organisations in and around Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings that you can get involved in.

You can sign up through Active Student, the university's in-house scheme, or go to different organisations directly.

Within some courses, students are also eligible to take the Community Participation and Development module, run by the Community University Partnership Programme (CUPP). Why not ask your lecturer if you are eligible?

You can also find out about reseach volunteering opportunities on the Student Research Enquiries page on the CUPP website.
