Professor Andrew Church
Professor Andrew Church is a geographer with expertise in local economic, social and recreational analysis. He has over fifteen years experience as an academic researcher, policy adviser and consultant. He headed the project Water-based sport and recreation: the facts. Recently he has also facilitated large scale workshops involving a complex range of stakeholders for a ministerial conference in Ireland on access to land.

Dr. Niall Burnside
Dr. Niall Burnside is a Landscape Ecologist with specialist expertise in the development and use of Geographical Information Systems for broad-scale landscape evaluation. He has over six years experience in academic research, and has a proven record of accomplishment in GIS and conservation management and consultancy.

Dr Neil Ravenscroft
Dr Neil Ravenscroft is Professor of Cultural Policy at the Chelsea School, University of Brighton, having previously been Reader in Leisure Management at the University of Surrey. At Brighton he has specialised in contract research into sport, recreation and the environment. He has undertaken research for a range of clients, including the Countryside Agency, Environment Agency, Defra, Forest Research and Sport England, and has contributed to policy development in the areas of recreational access to private land and waters, the management of public rights of way, community engagement in the management of public parks and gardens and workforce development in the creative and cultural sectors.

Dr Maureen Berg
Dr Maureen Berg is a bio-geographer with expertise in landscape ecology and conservation.  During her studies and professional experience, she has worked on various projects using Geographical Information System as an evaluation and decision-making tool for conservation and management. Her role in this project involves data gathering, the creation of a water related recreation database and spatial analysis of the provision and demand using GIS.

PLUMPTON COLLEGE

Becky Taylor
Becky is Head of Research at Plumpton College. Her role involves the management and administration of a number of small scale research projects. She is also currently seconded to the Sussex Learning Network as a Curriculum Lead for Bioscience. This role involves the management and coordination of the curriculum team and associated workshops and events.  Previously Becky ran her own successful equine business for three years.
