Question:
Other universities are changing their conditional offers to unconditional now, will the University of Brighton be doing this?
Answer:

No. During the 2020 cycle, some universities were already making unconditional offers to students still waiting for exam results. A small number of institutions decided to take this action in immediate response to the announcement last week that UK examinations were not going to take place. However, the Office for Students (OfS) has instructed all universities who are making such unconditional offers to stop the practice.

Guidance from the Department for Education, OfS and UCAS makes it clear that all 2020 applicants will receive their qualifications and be able to progress to higher education in the next academic year without delay.

At Brighton, we will not be making conditional offers we have already issued unconditional until we receive details of candidates’ qualifications in the usual way.
