The Brighton area offers a range of options for students wanting to rent privately. You’ll find all types of accommodation across the city and beyond. Students are eligible for discounted public transport across the city and beyond including Chichester, Worthing and Eastbourne.
How we can help you find private accommodation:
- We manage our own studenthomes database with details of all kinds of properties offered by landlords who have registered with us. These properties are checked by us so they meet our standards.
- We run a house hunting service in August where you can get advice from the accommodation team and meet fellow students.
- You can join the house-hunting group we manage on Facebook where you can meet new and current students looking for and offering rooms in rented houses and ask the accommodation team any questions you have.
When to look:
We recommend looking for private rented accommodation over the summer, do not sign any contracts or make any advance payments until your course place here has been confirmed.
We also make every eligible student, who applies for accommodation, an offer of either university-managed or university-arranged accommodation.
