Brighton is one of the UK's most popular student cities. You'll find a range of accommodation options available including our house share scheme.
We work with local letting agents to arrange rented rooms in their properties exclusively for our students, house share scheme properties are all checked by our team to ensure they meet our standards.
You will be living with other University of Brighton students and be jointly responsible for paying rent and dealing with the letting agent, who manages the property.
For more information about the scheme and advice on how rooms are allocated, you can read our allocation policy.
When you are here, as well as rent, you should budget for travel, a TV license and food. You will need to pay a deposit and then a first instalment of rent before you get here. Costs include:
- an agency fee, deposit and 4–6 weeks rent paid in advance is typically required: £960–£1440
- renting a room in a shared house in Brighton is typically from £120 per week
- this is £6,240 per year based on a 52-week contract
- rent does not usually include bills, so you would also be responsible for arranging to pay your own broadband, electricity, gas and water.
