The University of Brighton Marathon 2021

Sunday 12 September 2021, 09:00

The Brighton Marathon is one of Europe’s favourite marathons and this year, you can take part on behalf of the University of Brighton. We have just a handful of places available for University Alumni, students, staff and friends – secure your place today!

As a member of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to train with other UoB running participants as the 12 September marathon date approaches. Not only that, but you’ll receive all sorts of exclusive FREE benefits with your registration, including access to great training support thanks to Sport Brighton. Please fill out the below fields and we will be in touch with further information.

Please enter as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. A registration fee of £20 is required to secure your place in the marathon. Then, all you need to do is train hard and raise just £400 to help the University support charitable projects conducted by our students and researchers.

The funds you raise, will help us to support students in the following ways:

• Student excellence and employability
• Mental health and well-being
• Student experience and development
• Scholarships

We’re asking our runners to raise just £400 each in support of students at Brighton, of course if you can – please set your target higher.

We also want to make sure you’re supported throughout your fundraising, so we have a member of our fundraising team on hand to help you create an online fundraising page where you can direct your supporters, as well as provide you with advice and tips for raising funds.

The University is an exempt charity, and therefore, all the funds you raise have the potential to be Gift Aided, which means the HMRC will increase your fundraising by 25%.

The next months are going to be a really exciting challenge. While you are putting in the hours doing your training, you will also be raising awareness and much needed funding our students.

We’re here to support you if you have any questions any time during the coming months just call us on 07929793034.

To register your interest and secure a place on the running team, please fill out the below fields and we will be in contact. If you have any questions, please email alumni@brighton.ac.uk.

Registration fees can be paid by bank transfer, we will get in touch with you with the information and reference once we receive your submitted form.
