Access your accounts
Eight weeks after your course
Allow sufficient time to back up your work and transfer your files. Your computer login remains active for eight weeks after you finish your course so that you can copy or transfer any important files and information from studentcentral and networked folders.
One year out
You can access your Office 365 account for one year after your course finishes. During this time you can export contact information and download documents from your OneDrive folders. You can also share your new email address and forward useful email messages. See how to access your email for the first year after you graduate.
Up to a year after graduating, you can access your studentfolio profile and export your studentfolio records to another eportfolio service. Likewise, you can access and download your blog as an XML file to use in any other Wordpress installation.
You can use any remaining funds on your UniCard to purchase items at university outlets up to a year after finishing your studies. You can claim a rebate on any money left on your account but this will incur a £10 administration charge so we recommend spending your funds within this year.
Continue your studies
If you gained your undergraduate degree with us, you may be eligible for a 10 per cent discount off tuition fees for future courses, including postgraduate degrees. This alumni discount may be used in conjunction with the early settlement discount. If you achieved a 2:1 or above in your undergraduate degree, you could be eligible for the £3,000 Vice-Chancellor’s postgraduate alumni scholarship for a masters degree.
If you’re thinking about PhD study keep an eye out for new funding opportunities and studentships available throughout the year.
Graduate Outcomes survey
All universities are required to request the participation of recent graduates in a new national survey on behalf of the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA).
The Graduate Outcomes survey will capture the activities and perspectives of graduates. The responses to this Graduate Outcomes survey will be crucial in allowing current and future students to make informed choices and in helping universities to evaluate and promote their courses. The survey is owned by HESA, the Higher Education Statistics Agency, who have published more information for students as well as guidance on how your contact details will be used.
You will be contacted within 18 months of graduating to take part. To support the survey, we are required to hold accurate contact details for you, including a personal email address, at least one telephone number, and a postal address (this can be a parental/guardian address).
We would be very grateful if you could now review and update the details we currently hold for you.

Missed your ceremony?
We can help make sure that you still have pictures of you in graduation gowns for friends and family. Two options are available for this. We can lend you a gown and mortarboard and take your picture in our offices at Edward Street against a plain wall and email it to you or you can bring along a friend to take some snaps for you.
This service is available from Monday to Friday 10am–4pm and needs to be booked in advance. Alternatively, if you would like a picture by the official graduation photographers, you can wait until the next graduation ceremony (February and July each year). We will sign you in to the venue and lend you robes so you can have photographs taken by Tempest. We will not charge you for the use of the robes but photography packages start from around £35.
Just get in touch and let us know if we can help.
