The new Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) is a government-subsidised programme designed by the Chartered Management Institute, leading employers and universities.
The CMDA is designed to help develop existing staff, professionalise your managers and recruit new, high-calibre employees by offering a real alternative to full-time study.

Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship
The apprenticeship is for middle managers and those aspiring to management positions. It's for employees of any age, and is studied part-time through blended learning, consisting of work-based assessment, ongoing academic teaching delivered online, and occasional day conferences/webinars.
Apprentices must be employed in a relevant sector and in an appropriate job role throughout their apprenticeship. They should be employed for a minimum of 30 hours a week.
This apprenticeship can be taken over three to four years.

Applicants should have a CMI or ILM level 5 Diploma, HND, Foundation Degree in a subject related to Business or significant management experience.
Applicants also require English and Maths at Level 2 or GCSE at a minimum grade C.
Relevant business experience may be accepted as an alternative to formal qualifications, subject to individual interview.
Fees and funding
The fee is £18,000 which includes professional body membership, tuition and assessment. Employers who pay into the Apprenticeship Levy can fund the full fee from their digital account. Smaller employers who do not pay the Levy get a government subsidy to cover 90% of the fees – making the cost £1,800 or £450 per year.

Location / Delivery
Primarily online through blended learning. Attendance on campus will be required for 6 days per year. Workshops delivered at our Brighton based campuses.
