Our Chartered Town Planning Degree Apprenticeship develops the understanding, skills and professional experience necessary to succeed in the town planner role. Successful apprentices will achieve our Royal Town Planning Institute (RPTI) and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited MSc in Town Planning, a critical step towards Chartered Town Planner status, as well as the Chartered Town Planner Degree Apprenticeship Standard.
A combination of on the job training and applied academic study, the apprentice will be enabled to think critically about the policies and practices that underpin urban planning, and supported to identify the best social, economic and environmental solutions to real world planning challenges.
Delivered by industry experts, apprentices benefit from a concrete grounding in the local and global issues affecting urban planning in the 21st Century, including economic development, coastal regeneration and climate change.
