The nursing Associate is an exciting new role designed to assist, support and complement the work of registered nurses in the delivery of compassionate, holistic hands-on care.
The programme will enable apprentices to practice in a wide range of settings and includes external placements.
The curriculum covers the Health Education England Curriculum Framework for Nursing Associates and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards and regulations (as they emerge) so that successful trainees are ready for registration with the NMC as a Nursing Associate.
Incorporating the Health and Social Care Practice Foundation Degree, this Higher Apprenticeship is suitable for people currently working in a health or social care setting.
We are a top 10 university for world-leading research impact in allied health professions, nursing and pharmacy (REF 2014). Apprenticeships build on our robust history of partnership with the healthcare sector.
