CENTRIM is one of three research centres within Brighton Business School (BBS) at the University of Brighton. Its research policy and practice aligns fully with University research governance. Being formally recognised as a centre denotes that a grouping of research has a level of coherence, quality and external profile.
Two further research centres within BBS are the Centre for Interdisciplinary Management and Education Research (CIMER) and the Centre for Research on Management and Employment (CROME). Whilst these centres delineate our research interests, cooperation and collaboration between members of the three centres occurs and is encouraged.
Within BBS, there is an emphasis upon collegiate operations supported through a formal infrastructure. The BBS Research Strategy Group (RSG) is a sub-committee of the BBS School Academic Board (SAB) and proposes, updates and advises on research strategy, performance indicators and integrating research into teaching. The BBS Scholarship and Research Development Scheme Committee decides and reports on outcomes of bids to the BBS Scholarship and Research Development Scheme and reports to the BBS Research Strategy Group. The BBS Research Ethics and Governance Committee monitors the ethics approval process, receives and makes decisions on or refers proposals for ethical approval and reports to the University Research Ethics and Governance Committee and the BBS Research Strategy Group.
