Building resilience in practice through the supervisory relationship

Resilience theory will be embedded in the curriculae which prepares practice-based educators in health and social science at the University of Brighton.

Project aims

Grounded in ecological theories of resilience, as described by Ungar (2012), the project looked at how students will develop resilience maps, and through focus groups, will develop an ecologically constituted resilience framework for practice-based educators (Adapted from Hart and Blincow 2007).

Project findings and impact

The results of this project will inform future research on a resilient practitioner intervention linking with the health and social inequalities research programme.
