A university is a complex community and, like any community, we need regulations, policies and codes of conduct to support it.
They are designed to protect and maintain two vital areas for you and the university:
- academic quality – covered by academic regulations
- our rights and responsibilities as members of the institution – covered by more general policies and guidance.
Understanding our Student Contract
These rules and regulations are complex and we do not expect you to know them all in detail. However, you need to know that they exist and their relevance to you as a student. The student contract comprises the main terms and conditions, a summary of the key terms and the regulations and policies listed below.
You may also have other contractual arrangements with other organisations, such as the Student Loans Company or accommodation provider. Make sure that you understand these separate arrangements.
All of the documents listed are available to download as pdfs unless stated otherwise.
