Support and advice
We can offer you support with finding the right accommodation and people to live with in the private rented sector. There is currently a good supply of private rented accommodation available and many students prefer this option as they can choose where and who to live with.
We offer lots of support and advice:
- Contact us about house hunting and get advice from our experienced team
- Log into our studenthomes database of private rented properties that meet our standards, and get advise on dealing with letting agents
- Join our Facebook groups for Brighton and Eastbourne students – to meet other students looking for accommodation
Get in touch as soon as you have your place at the University of Brighton confirmed, and we can help you get your search for accommodation started.
Before contacting letting agents, use our studenthomes database to find private rented accommodation.
This is an online service that provides housing advice for University of Brighton students, as well as details of houses and flats available for rent in Brighton and Eastbourne. You could save up to £200 in agency fees by using it.
You need your university username and password to log on. Every year, hundreds of students find great places to live using this service.
Join our housemate groups on Facebook where you'll meet new and current students looking for and offering rooms in rented houses and get useful support and advice from our accommodation team.
We also run a dedicated Facebook group providing support and advice to students looking for accommodation during the summer months. Contact the accommodation team if you’d like to join this group.
