Inaugural lecture from Professor Bob Brecher

Knowledge and belief: The immorality of capitalism

Professor Bob Brecher

Bob Brecher

Overview and video

Capitalism is all about treating each other merely as means to ends; in fact, it demands that this is what we do, and this is enshrined in company law. And so, since that's wrong, we know that capitalism is immoral — just because it requires us to treat others as merely means to ends.

In this lecture, Professor Bob Brecher explores the philosophical arguments around this statement.
