This project aims to understand the practices, purposes and effects of research mentoring for ECRs in universities in two different contexts (UK and Norway). It will establish the principles on which to build when developing a mentoring model specifically for ECRs as literature on research mentoring suggests ECRs have specific development needs and mentoring for ECRs has been identified has a gap in research.
