Bruno De Oliveira is a PhD student at the University of Brighton. The author has been volunteering with Emmaus Brighton which is an NGO aimed at ending homelessness. The partnership between Emmaus Brighton and Bruno has led to publications on the link between sense of community and mental wellbeing. His research is exploring the lived experiences of homeless people through participatory research.
