The Mapping Support for Newly Qualified Practitioners in Kent, Surrey and Sussex: A Knowledge Exchange Conference was held on 11 December 2014, 10.00-16:00 at The Hub, Varley Park, University of Brighton.
A critical moment in one’s professional life is the transition from student to newly qualified practitioner (NQPs). This knowledge exchange conference drew together key stakeholders involved in the support of NQPs programs across KSS, to share their practice and learn from one another. Building on best practices, a framework will be generated that guides newly qualified staff to determine their own personal, professional and career developmental needs; one that helps their facilitators to enhance the NQP’s transitional experience and ultimately improves patient care.
