Personal profile

Research interests

My research centers on the function of the tumour microenvironment in tumour progression and metastasis. My particular interest lies in the role of tumour associated macrophages (TAMs). I investigate TAM plasticity, heterogeneity and recruitment, and their function in tumour growth and spread. I have also been investigating the versatile effects of chemokine signalling in the tumour microenvironment.

Supervisory Interests

I supervise projects that investigate tumour associated macrophage subsets and how their gene expression changes in reponse to drug treatments. My projects also study how the pro-tumour macrophages can be selectively targeted for therapeutic purposes.
