I have always been passionate about linking arts and sciences and have actively sought to study across knowledge boundaries since my secondary education.
With a French Baccalaureate in Sciences, English Literature and Art History, I came to the UK in 2005 to study my undergraduate degree in Human Sciences at the University of Sussex. This grounded my interdisciplinary education firmly across humanities, social and biological sciences.
Working at the University of Brighton since 2009, I have developed my research expertise in connecting across disciplinary and knowledge boundaries to examine critical social issues and questions of social solidarity and responsibility. In this time, I have developed and led community-engaged research projects, worked to integrate concepts of sustainability within the university and facilitated learning with undergraduate and postgraduate students. In addition to my academic work, I have also been a co-instigator of a number of local initiatives such as the University of Brighton Food Co-op, the Falmer vegetable allotment and regular wildlife walks.
In 2015-16 I am visiting at Fudan University in Shanghai, China, to assist in training postgraduate students in research methods and critical thinking.
