About these scholarships
Masters scholarships funded by the Santander Universities network, worth a tuition fee reduction of £5,000, are available to new full-time postgraduate students starting taught degrees in academic year 2018/19.
These scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence and will be awarded alongside the 50 international scholarships. No additional application is required.
The scholarship committee’s decision is final and no appeal can be considered.
Who is eligible
In order to be eligible for one of the Santander Masters scholarships, you need to:
- hold an offer of admission to a one-year, full-time Masters programme in any subject at the University of Brighton by the advertised deadlines for the International Scholarships; this offer can be unconditional or conditional.
- be a national from, and be residing in, one of the following Santander Universities network countries:
- Puerto Rico
- be expecting to have, or already have, a good UK bachelor honours degree or equivalent degree from your home country.
A selected Santander Masters scholar cannot hold any other scholarship award from the University of Brighton.
Students in receipt of a full sponsorship are not eligible.
Santander require funding recipients to complete a funding agreement form (which indicates a willingness to participate in promoting the scheme).

You will automatically be considered for this Santander masters scholarship when you make an application for the University of Brighton international scholarship, and meet the Santander masters scholarship eligibility requirements detailed on this page.
Applications will be assessed in January, March, May and June with a closing deadline of 31 July 2018.
