Linda McVeigh has been teaching on our short courses since 2011. She has had a number of successes in short story competitions, including first prize in the Charleston Small Wonder Short Story Festival Slam (in 2007 and again in 2011), first prize in the Rainy Cities Short Stories prize in 2010, and first prize in the 2011 Asham Award, judged by author Sarah Waters. Linda also won the inaugural Brighton Prize in 2014.
Her story All Over the Place was published in Something Was There (Virago, 2011) and Back Seat was published as a Galley Beggar Press ‘short’ after being included in their 2016 longlist.

Dr Jess Moriarty founded Work Write Live and has many years of experience teaching and researching writing practice. She has won a Teaching Excellence award for her workshops. You can read more about Jess on her staff profile.
Brendan Cleary is originally from Co. Antrim and now lives and writes in Brighton. He has published eight full-length poetry collections from presses including Bloodaxe, Tall-Lighthouse and Pighog Press. For over thirty years he has been a relentless activist in the service of poetry and is a highly experienced creative writing tutor working with all age groups.
