Postgraduate Train to Teach event

About this event

Event programme

Our event is an opportunity for you to chat with our course team who will be available to answer any questions you may have about training to teach at Brighton.

We will be running subject talks at the following times:

  • Primary teaching: 5.45pm - 6.15pm
  • Secondary teaching: 5.45pm - 6.15pm

You will also be able to look around our specialist classrooms and facilities.

Registration for the event is open from 5pm.

Getting here

This event is taking place at our Falmer campus in the Checkland Building.

Here's a map for our Falmer campus.

By car: The Falmer campus is approximately seven kilometres from Brighton city centre. Parking is free during your visit, please ignore all signage in the car park as you will not be fined.

By bike: Cycle lanes run from the city centre along the A270 Lewes Road to Falmer. Cycle stands monitored by CCTV are provided on the campus.

Beryl BTN Bikes are available to hire across all our Brighton campuses.

By bus or train: The Falmer campus is well served by public transport.

Falmer railway station is a short walk from the campus, Moulsecoomb is one stop away and Brighton mainline station three stops away. Check the Southern Railway website for the latest information.

The 25 bus service runs from Brighton city centre to our Falmer campus. Visit the Brighton and Hove Bus Company website for their timetable.

Your arrival

When you arrive at our campus the first thing you’ll need to do is register in the Checkland building.

We will need to see your QR code upon arrival – you can find this in your programme, and we will also send this to you via email before the event.

Registration for the event is open from 5pm.
